Do you have scraps of fabric laying around from sewing projects? I have tons of it and it is not something I am willing to just toss because I always feel that option is nothing but wasteful; plus I love most of the patterns I pick on all my projects. I store all of my fabric scraps from old projects in a few bins in my craft room and use them from time to time on new sewing projects and to make fabric cards. I love this idea from purlbee, using scraps of fabric to make a memory game! It is super-easy, even a novice sewer can pull it off. And memory is a great and entertaining game for children. hint hint: handmade birthday gift.
Another idea I ran across by sometimescrafter was to use scrap material to make some fabric bins. We can all use more organization in our lives right? They are cute, can be made in multiple sizes and look great showcasing different patterns.
And finally, I work a lot with fat quarters so I thoroughly enjoyed this article by tipnut blog that includes tutorials on 35 fat quarter projects! Most of which can easily be adapted to scrap fabric sizes. Anyhow, hope this sparks a little creativity for you on how to reuse those fabric scraps.
