Coco Inspired Party

Last year, with covid and having to stay home so much, I wasn’t sure how to celebrate my eldest daughters 10th birthday. It was such a huge milestone her turning a decade old! I had to celebrate it in a special way. We couldn’t have a large party but we could have a few close friends over for a sweet little fiesta. Her birthday is November 3rd and so it is near Halloween and Dia de los Muertos. We decided to go with a Coco inspired movie night party! I also had on hand the raddish kids kit which is a cooking kit for the month of October which had spooky themed cooking recipes for the kids. So I helped the girls make their own meal of “Mummy Enchiladas”, and “Haunted Tres Leches Cake”. It was so much fun!

In the raddish kids cooking kit there was also a craft idea of paper bag pinatas made of paper bags and tissue paper. So cute. I had the girls make these while they watched the movie Coco and then I let them fill their own goodie bags with little handmade dolls and pretty hair clips and nail polishes.

I also found this fun Coco inspired backdrop banner on amazon which really helped to bring out the theme and have a fun picture backdrop!

Overall, the party was a lot of fun and I would definitely host a party like this again! I highly recommend a coco inspired party and if you would like to see my other coco inspired coloring page and planter from the movie we adore check out this post!
