As a follow-up to my recent post on eclectic wall decor, I wanted to show my readers my finished wall collage and a few pointers on how you at home can create your own.
I used multiple sizes and materials for frame choice but along with all the variety I tried to keep oranges and coral colors in small amounts throughout the collage. I used a lot of my personal family photos but also added a watercolor I made in college and some cool street signs to mix up the textures.
I think the mix of different sizes and shapes really helped pull the whole wall together.
To ground the whole collage I used a dresser as a bureau table which also brings a lot of extra storage space into our living room.
On top of the dresser I chose some artful books like my Vogue Covers book, some painting books and some architecture books. All stuff I enjoy and says something about me. I organized these books with the use of a simple tray to keep them square and fitted together. I also chose a starfish that my mother gave me and a pretty kissing statue on either side of the books to give some more intrigue. All the personal touches are really what will bring this project together for you as well!
