In our house, we have a great and pretty unique fourth room right off the living room and main entrance which has recently been turned into my office slash Gemma’s playroom. I am ready to paint and make it over so that is has a strong cohesive design so here are some cool inspirations I have found that I am planning my design around!

I really love the idea of having some dedicated chalkboard space for Gemma to draw on and for me to teach with. I am also leaning towards painting the playroom/office coral, grey & white.  A fun color pallete for Gemma and a modern one for my little desk in the corner.

I also love the idea of adding a whimsical quote like this one above from Dr. Seuss or these large-scale pictures of Dr. Seuss books on one wall. Funky, colorful and fun… the perfect tone for a playroom.

I am thinking of incorporating some beach and water themes along with my coral, grey and white color scheme because my daughter loves the ocean and my husband and I used to live near the beach.. I like the relaxed mentality of the sea-shore.

In the photo above, I am most interested in the cool rug and the letter pillows. They are both casual and colorful something I am definitely going for.

And lastly, I think this sign I found on etsy is so cute; “playroom rules”. Would be a nice reminder for kids and adults!
